Projection screen TV's

Projection screen televisions became popular due to being able to deliver large screens before plasma and LCD. There are two main types of projection sets; the earlier CRT type which use 3 CRT units – red, green and blue, these sometimes suffer from convergence problems causing misaligned images.

The later projection sets we see for repair use LCD technology and the light source is an HV lamp, these lamps only have a finite life which will reduce if airflow and ventilation are reduced.

At Prossers we wouldn’t replace a lamp without fully servicing the product including checking and cleaning the various fans and filters, this allows us to give our 12 month warranty on repairs. As with all repairs Prossers charge an inspection fee which covers a diagnosis of the fault, this fee is deducted from any final invoice.

Projection sets are big and bulky, if required we offer a free of charge collection and delivery service.
